Lip blushin Ascot and Sunningdale

Lip blush is a soft semi-permanent tint for the lips. It restores colour that fades with age, evens out uneven tone and gently defines the lip line, so your lips look fuller and fresher without lipstick.

Shades range from a sheer, barely-there tint to a richer rose. Holly will help you choose a colour that suits your skin tone.

Lip blush by Holly Richards: pale natural lips before, and fuller, rosy defined lips straight after treatment
Before and straight after lip blush. The colour softens to a natural shade as it heals.

Who it suits

  • Pale, uneven or fading lip colour
  • A softened or blurred lip border
  • Anyone tired of reapplying lipstick and liner

How it works

  1. Consultation

We talk through the look you want, your skin, your medical history and anything that might affect healing. Consultations are free, in person or by phone, and a patch test is done at least 48 hours before treatment.

  2. Design

Holly measures and maps the shape to your features, then chooses a pigment to suit your skin tone. Nothing is tattooed until you are completely happy with the design in the mirror.

  3. Treatment

A topical numbing cream keeps you comfortable throughout. Most clients describe the feeling as light scratching rather than pain.

  4. Perfecting session

You return five to six weeks later, once the skin has healed, so Holly can refine the shape and build colour where it is needed. Lip colour looks bright straight after treatment and settles to a soft, natural shade.

Aftercare

  • Apply the aftercare balm as directed and keep lips moisturised.
  • Drink through a straw and avoid hot, spicy or salty food for the first few days.
  • Expect some swelling for 24 to 48 hours. This is normal.
  • If you have ever had a cold sore, ask your GP or pharmacist about antiviral tablets before your appointment.

You will receive full written aftercare on the day.

Questions

Will my lips swell after lip blush?

Some swelling is normal for a day or two. A cold compress and sleeping slightly propped up help it settle quickly.

I get cold sores. Can I still have lip blush?

Usually yes, but tattooing can trigger an outbreak. Speak to your GP or pharmacist about antiviral medication before your appointment, and let Holly know at consultation.

Can I have my lips and brows done together?

Yes. The combined lips and brows treatment is £580 for the first visit and takes around five hours.
